My little Easter chicks

Our little Easter witches were on the move yesterday and I had to be fast to be able to catch a few photos of these color spots! Yesterday we were cleaning the garden ready for the spring but today it's snowing again! I can't wait for the summer to come already and don't really feel like going to get the snow showel again from the storage. Wishing that Easter will bring back the spring and the sun!

    1. Hi! They are pretty cute, aren't they! It's an old Easter tradition that's mixes a bit of christian and pagan influence. It means that on the Sunday before Easter kids go around dressed up as witches to wish good health with these decorated willow branches. The branch is then given away and the kids get an reward, a chocolate eggs usually. :)

As my family is from Karelian area we never really dressed up as Easter witches but did the branches and went around to wish good health only to our family members. Usually we then got the chocolate eggs one week after that, on Easter.

It's fun to decorate the branches with kids, you could do it as well! :)
