Lauantaina kävimme suloisen pienen tytön 2-vuotissyntymäpäiväjuhlilla. Uusiseelantilainen ystäväperheemme on viime vuosina muuttanut Helsinkiin Lontoosta Pekingin kautta ja nyt he asuvat ainakin jonkin aikaa täällä. Isossa asunnossa design-huonekalut saavat hienosti tilaa ympärilleen ja halusin ottaa muutaman kuvan myös sisustuksesta. Vaikkakin lastenjuhlilla tietenkin suuri osa asunnosta oli täynnä lahjapaperikääreitä ja leluja, luonnollisesti! Mutta ymmärtänette varmasti ihastukseni tähän asuntoon ja sen skandinaaviseen sisustukseen. Muuten, perheen äiti pitää blogia täällä: Little Traveller Things.
Lankaan solmitut ilmapallot seinillä olivat näyttävä juhlakoriste ja juuri sopivan hillitty asunnon tyyliin. Vaikeaa uskoa, että tänä kesänä vietetään myös meidän perheen "vauvan" 2-vuotispäiviä!

Last Saturday we visited our friends from New Zealand to celebrate their lovely daughter's 2 year birthday. Our friends have moved to Finland from London through Beijing and are here for now for some time. I love all the way they have used Scandinavian design furniture in this spacy Helsinki downtown flat. Kids were wild and loving all the sweet pastries (that I forgot to take a photo of) and meanwhile I tried to get a few photos of the interior. Most parts of the home were obviously covered with toys and running children, but here's a few pics of the interior as well. I really liked the simple but colorful birthday balloon decorations on the walls, clever idea! Have to stat thinking about some birthday party decorations myself too. Can't believe we'll also celebrate the 2 year birthday party of our family's "baby"!
